In a candid interview, Saif Ali Khan spoke honestly about the reaction of his 9-year-old son Taimur Ali Khan when he saw Adipurush, which has been universally panned by critics and audiences alike. Saif, who portrayed Lankesh in the movie, admitted that he had to apologise to Taimur after he came back from screening the movie for him.
“He started giving me a look. Then I said, ‘Yeah, sorry.’ He said, ‘It’s okay.’ He forgave me,” Saif shared with a laugh, reflecting on the interaction.
The 2023 film, also starring Prabhas as Raghav and Kriti Sanon as Janki, was based upon the Ramayana and made by Om Raut. Adipurush was coming with a lot of expectations, and when it was released, it was heavily criticised for, but not limited to, its poor visual effects, unoriginal and questionable dialogues, and overall poorly executed movie, which even made the makers re-dub some dialogues just days after it was released.
