In the latest update on Saif Ali Khan‘s assault case, Mumbai Police have uncovered new information. They suspect that the same intruder who attacked Saif also scoped out Shah Rukh Khan’s house, Mannat, earlier this week.
Saif was attacked at his Bandra home late Wednesday night, where he was stabbed six times. He was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital for surgery to remove the knife and treat spinal fluid leakage. Fortunately, Saif is now out of danger. However, the investigation has uncovered links to Shah Rukh Khan’s residence.
Shah Rukh Khan Was Targetted Before Saif Ali Khan?
After the attack, the police visited Mannat to investigate further. CCTV footage from the area showed a person with a similar build to the one seen in Saif’s security footage. This has led investigators to believe that the same person might be involved in both incidents.
Sources suggest that the intruder may not have acted alone. An iron ladder found at Mannat was too heavy for one person to carry, leading police to believe there were at least two or three people involved. The police are now looking into whether the ladder was stolen during the event.
While Shah Rukh Khan hasn’t filed a complaint, the police are taking the matter seriously. They are also investigating whether the ladder used during the recce was reported stolen.
35 Special Teams Set To Catch The Intruder
Meanwhile, a suspect has been detained in connection with the attack on Saif. However, the attacker remains at large, even after 35 hours since the incident. The police have set up 35 special teams to track down the intruder, who also injured two of Saif’s staff members.
Saif’s team confirmed the break-in and asked for privacy during the investigation. Initial reports said Saif might be discharged soon, but doctors are closely monitoring his recovery before making any decisions.
