Salman Khan Blames ‘Too Cool’ Directors For Bollywood’s Box-office Woes, Says ‘Kharab Filmein Banaoge Toh…’. Video Inside!

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently expressed his thoughts on the state of Indian cinema and the current crop of filmmakers during the launch of the 68th Filmfare Awards, where he was announced as the host. The actor took a dig at award shows and mentioned his preference for ‘rewards’ over trophies.

Khan also spoke about the quality of content being made for OTT platforms and new-age filmmakers, whom he believes have a different understanding of India. He pointed out that while many filmmakers think they are making great films like Mughal-e-Azam, Sholay, Hum Aapke Hai Koun, or Dilwale, they do not eventually make it.

The actor further elaborated that filmmakers today have a different understanding of India, and that Hindustan is way different from what they believe it to be. He stated that the country starts from the east of railway stations and urged filmmakers to take this into account while creating content.

Khan couldn’t help but laugh as he spoke about the upcoming release of his film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which he hopes will be well-received by audiences. The film also stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Bhumika Chawla, Pooja Hegde, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, and Vinali Bhatnagar. He added, “I hope my words don’t come to bite me. Bhari nahi padhna chaiye… People shouldn’t question what kind of film have I made. It is releasing on April 21 and I hope everyone likes it,”

While Salman Khan’s comments may be controversial, it is clear that the actor is passionate about Indian cinema and wants to see it thrive. With his upcoming release, he will surely be keeping his fingers crossed for a positive response from audiences.
