Suniel Shetty Speaks Up On Netizens Demanding Director Farhad Samji’s Removal From Hera Pheri 4, Says ‘When The Team Believes He Is Fine…’

He also clarified that he has never worked with Farhad Samji as a director but knows him as a good writer and trusts the team's decision to bring him on board for the film.

After much anticipation and speculation, it has been confirmed that Suniel Shetty, Akshay Kumar, and Paresh Rawal will be reuniting for the fourth installment of the cult classic comedy-drama, Hera Pheri. However, the announcement of Farhad Samji being the director of the film has sparked controversy, with a petition circulating on Twitter demanding his removal from the project.

In a recent interview with Youtuber Siddharth Kanan, Suniel Shetty spoke out about the outrage on social media, stating that while Twitter is a relevant medium, everyone brings their own luck, destiny, and efforts into a project. He also clarified that he has never worked with Farhad Samji as a director but knows him as a good writer and trusts the team’s decision to bring him on board for the film.

“Twitter is a relevant medium but I also believe that everybody brings their luck, their destiny, their efforts into a project. I have never worked with him (Farhad Samji) as a director but I know him as a very good writer and when the team believes that he is fine, you go with the team,” the actor said.

Suniel Shetty also addressed the rumors surrounding the delay of the film, stating that it was not Akshay Kumar’s fault, and shooting will begin in mid-2023. The movie is set to be shot on international grounds, including locations like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Los Angeles.

The first Hera Pheri film was released in 2000 and was directed by Priyadarshan. It was a Hindi remake of the Malayalam superhit Ramji Rao Speaking and created a stir among the audience, leading to demands for a sequel. The second installment, Phir Hera Pheri, was released in 2006 and was directed by the late Neeraj Vora. It was inspired by the Hollywood classic Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.

Fans of the iconic trio are excited to see them back on screen together after a long wait and are eagerly anticipating the release of Hera Pheri 4.
