Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 is surely one of the most awaited films of this year. The movie along with amassing huge buzz also invited some controversies with its content. First, the shooting was stopped by the archaeological department. Now a committee has demanded the Censor Board to not allow the certification to the film.
As per the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti, the Hud Hud song shows saints & sadhus in a very demeaning manner. The committee is asking for a complete ban on the movie. But it seems the makers will have to get rid of the visuals of Sadhus dancing as gods in the song.
Hindu Janjagruti Samiti said to an online portal, “If the movie happens to be on the lines of what we have seen in the trailer. It is an extremely shocking depiction of Hindu deities and sadhus and also goes at great lengths to humiliate and poke fun at the basic foundations of Sanatana Dharma.”
Members of CBFC have been asked to instruct the team of Dabangg 3 to edit out the controversial portions. However, there’s no clarity on will the visuals be removed or not. A source close the film confirmed to an online portal, “The song and its visuals have been cleared by the censor board. There is nothing scandalous or improper about Sadhus dancing. They do so quite often in real life. This is one more example of niche religious organizations trying to gain publicity by fastening their fortunes to a huge franchise. There will be no compromise on this issue.”
