Salman Khan house firing case has another shocking update. it has been revealed that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi allegedly paid Rs 20 lakh to six men to carry out the attack on the actor.
The incident, which took place on April 14, 2024, around 5 am, saw two men on a motorcycle open fire at Salman Khan’s sea-facing residence in Galaxy Apartments, Bandra. Thankfully, Khan was at home but remained unharmed, and no police constables were present at the time, despite him being a ‘Y’ category protectee.
Chargesheet Reveals 6 Accused Had A Contract Of Rs 20 Lakh
According to a charge sheet filed by Mumbai’s crime branch and reported by News 18, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang is believed to have issued a contract worth Rs 20 lakh for the assassination of Khan. This development comes amidst ongoing investigations and the arrest of several suspects.
Adding to the case’s complexity, a special court in Mumbai has recently issued non-bailable warrants for Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence’s brother, and Rohit Godera, an alleged gang member. Both individuals have been on the run since being named in the charge sheet related to the shooting. On July 27, 2024, special judge B.D. Shelke, who oversees cases under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), issued a standing non-bailable warrant for their arrest.
The attack on Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area was initially attributed to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Anmol Bishnoi, in a Facebook post, reportedly took responsibility for the shooting.
An Accused Confessed His Involvement Citing Financial Desperation
The chargesheet reveals that Vicky Gupta, 24, was the motorcycle rider, while Sagar Pal, 35, was the shooter.
Gupta has confessed to his involvement, citing financial desperation as his motive. In his confession, he admitted, “I felt I wouldn’t get caught by the police, but got arrested all the same.” The case continues to unfold as authorities work to apprehend the remaining suspects and unravel the full extent of the alleged plot against the Bollywood star.
