Salman Khan joins Zoya Akhtar & Farhan Akhtar to produce Salim-Javed documentary, title & more details inside!

Zoya has also begun researching the duo's life in order to pay proper honour to those who changed the face of Indian cinema

Earlier there were reports that Zoya Akhtar is working on a documentary on the great duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar with her crew. The filmmaker had also begun researching the duo’s life in order to pay proper honour to those who changed the face of Indian cinema. Salim Khan, a veteran writer, confirmed just days after this speculations that a documentary on their lives is in the works, and Zoya has been working on it for the past two months.

Now there’s a update on the much-anticipated documentary. The story of this legendary literary partnership is said to be named “Angry Young Men.” Amitabh Bachchan is known as Bollywood’s Angry Young Man, because to his portrayal of the courageous cop Vijay in the film Zanjeer, which was scripted by Salim-Javed. Big B went on to play Angry Young Man in a number of subsequent Salim Javed movies. The docu-drama will show how the two revolutionised writers were perceived in Bollywood, as well as real-life footage from back in the day, interviews with Salim – Javed’s colleagues, and a look at the legends’ fallout.
