Salman Khan Moves Past Marigold Failure, Wraps Up Shooting For His Second International Film

Salman Khan has wrapped up his second international project The Seven Dogs after moving past the failure of Marigold (2007).

Salman Khan has officially wrapped up his second international project, putting the failure of his first Indo-British film Marigold (2007) behind him. The film struggled at the box office and reportedly earned only Rs 2 crore worldwide against a Rs 19 crore budget.

Its director Willard Carroll stepped away from filmmaking after its release, while co-star Ali Larter moved on from her Bollywood dreams. However, Salman has moved forward. He recently completed filming for his next global venture in Saudi Arabia. It’s a remake of the Argentinian film Seven Dogs (2021).

Salman Khan’s Hollywood Cameo

Salman has wrapped up his cameo for the upcoming Arabic-language thriller, The Seven Dogs. The film is directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the duo behind Bad Boys: Ride or Die (2024). It also features Egyptian actors Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Ezz in lead roles. Salman began shooting his portions on 17 February, and a leaked video from the set recently went viral, sparking excitement among fans.

Details about Salman’s character are still under wraps, but reports suggest he filmed action-packed sequences in a villain’s den near a bustling market in Riyadh.

According to Mid-Day, he wrapped up his scenes last Wednesday before heading to Dubai for the launch of his nephew Ayaan Agnihotri’s music single. Reports also hint that Sanjay Dutt has a cameo in the film, adding more Bollywood flavour to the international project.

The project has strong backing from Turki Al-Sheikh, a major figure in Saudi Arabia’s entertainment industry and a close associate of Salman. Al-Sheikh, who wrote The Seven Dogs, is overseeing production, which is set to be one of the most expensive Arabic-language films ever made. With a mix of global influences, the film aims to expand Bollywood’s reach in international markets.

Salman Khan Gearing Up For Sikandar Release

Back in India, Salman is keeping busy. He has reportedly wrapped up shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala & AR Murugadoss’ Sikandar. The film is slated for an Eid 2025 release. It features a stellar cast that includes Rashmika Mandanna, Satyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar.
