Salman Khan Not To File Any Defamation Case Against Comedian Kunal Kamra: Reports

Amid recent claims that Salman Khan was planning to file a defamation case against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra, new reports have clarified that the actor has no such intentions. Despite Kunal’s refusal to apologize for his remarks, Salman has decided not to sue him over the derogatory jokes made about the actor.

Salman Khan not to sue Kunal Kamra over defamation

Recently, there were reports suggesting that Salman Khan would take legal action against Kunal Kamra due to jokes about his personality. However, a close friend of Salman revealed that discussing a defamation case was mere “hogwash.” The friend emphasized that if Salman sued everyone who criticized him, he would be in and out of courtrooms.

A close friend of Salman was quoted as saying by Zoom, “If he (Salman Khan) sued everyone who abused him, he would be in and out of courtrooms. Over the years, Salman has come to terms with his controversial attackable image. He knows mentioning his name, especially in a derogatory context, gets attention. So no, he isn’t suing this guy (Kunal Kamra),” adding, “His father, Salim Khan, counsels him (Salman) to ignore insults. Salim saab tells Salman they are just a way of grabbing attention.”

Kunal Kamra’s Response to reports of Salman Khan suing him

Kunal Kamra, known for his bold and often controversial comedy, had recently responded to the situation. After KRK said Salman is planning to file a defamation case against Kunal, he tweeted, “I am not a flying bird or a stationary footpath, and I don’t apologize for jokes anymore.” In a recent gig, Kunal mocked Salman’s involvement in controversies, mimicking the actor and questioning the boundaries of comedy. At one point, he said, “There was once a time when comedians were scared of Salman Khan… everyone says don’t joke about Salman. He can slap a woman, and we can’t joke about him?”

In summary, Salman Khan has decided not to pursue legal action against Kunal Kamra, recognizing that insults are often a way of seeking attention. The comedian, on the other hand, remains unapologetic for his remarks, emphasizing the importance of free expression in comedy.
