In a recent media interaction ahead of the release of his film “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,” Bollywood superstar Salman Khan revealed that he was in talks with the late actor and director Satish Kaushik for “Tere Naam 2.” Kaushik, who passed away last month, had directed the original “Tere Naam” film, which was a romantic drama and starred Salman Khan in the lead role of Radhe.
Salman Khan shared that 20 years ago, he had only heard the one-line idea for “Tere Naam 2” from Kaushik and was convinced it was going to make for a superb film. He further added that he would consider doing the sequel with the same idea in the future.
The late veteran actor and director Satish Kaushik had also worked with Salman Khan in the film “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan” and was supposed to direct a film under Salman’s supervision. However, fate had different plans.
Salman Khan had previously shared a tribute to Satish Kaushik on social media, and actor Anupam Kher recently hosted a get-together in memory of the late star on the occasion of his birth anniversary. Anil Kapoor was also present at the event.
Salman said, “Always loved cared n respected him n shall alway remember him for the man that he was. May his soul rest in peace n strength to family n loved ones. .. #RIP Satish Ji.”
Although Satish Kaushik’s untimely demise has left a void in the industry, his legacy will be celebrated forever. The news of a potential “Tere Naam 2” film has left fans of the original excited and eagerly waiting for further updates.
