We can’t wait to see our favorite celebs on the silver screen once the cinema halls reopen and much anticipated films release on big screen. Here’s some good news for all you Salman Khan enthusiasts. According to a recent report, Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala are looking to release Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali on Diwali 2022. It has been suggested that the movie be renamed Bhaijaan in order to avoid any name-related controversy.
While this reported news of Salman’s release is exciting for many, it may pit him against Shah Rukh Khan at the box office. According to earlier reports, SRK is looking at releasing one of his three future films on the same date. Continue reading to learn more.
“Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala recently met to discuss the shooting schedule and release date of Bhaijaan and they have unanimously decided on making an attempt to bring it during the Diwali 2022 weekend. The duo is of the opinion that the script is loaded with comedy and family based emotions, making it an ideal watch for the audience during the festive season of Diwali.” a source informed Bollywood Hungama.
When asked about when the film will start shooting, a source told the portal that the Salman Khan starrer will commence its shoot in November 2021, after the Dabangg actor wraps up filming for the YRF action movie, Tiger 3. After completing Bachchan Pandey, director Farhad Samji will begin pre-production on Bhaijaan.
The date is still tentative as the source added, “The shooting and release date is subject to Covid scenario.”
This can lead to the biggest clash at post covid box office between the Khans because Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly scheduled his two films for EID and Diwali 2022. While Pathan is slated to release on Eid, will we see Hirani’s film releasing on Diwali?
Hirani’s film is expected to begin production in 2022, and because it is a quick film, there is a chance it may make the Diwali 2022 release. On the other hand, Atlee hasn’t started filming with SRK yet, and it’s an extensive shoot, so it’s unlikely to be released in 2022.
If these reports are right, we will get to see King Khan not once, but twice on big screen in 2022 which will be a double treat for his fans who have been waiting to see him on big screen for 3-4 years!
