Salman Khan starrer Sikandar finally hit cinemas today on March 30. But just hours before its release, piracy websites leaked the film in HD quality. Platforms like Tamilrockers, Movierulz, and Filmyzilla made it available for illegal download.
According to reports, even Telegram groups started sharing streaming links, raising concerns about their box office earnings.
Sikandar Piracy To Affect Its Box Office Collection?
Bollywood continues to struggle with piracy despite strict anti-piracy laws. Many films fall victim to illegal leaks, and Sikandar is the latest target. However, it’s shocking as this is a rare case where the film got leaked even before its release. It’s different to someone recording the movie in theatres and later uploading it in HD. The incident hints at possiblitiles of an insider being responsible for the leak.
This is a huge blow to the industry. A film like Sikandar is made for the big screen. Watching a shaky, low-quality version with muffled audio ruins the cinematic experience.
Why You Should Avoid the Pirated Version
1. Piracy is Illegal
Downloading or streaming pirated movies is a crime. Many people don’t realise that watching pirated content is just as unlawful as distributing it. Engaging in piracy can lead to heavy fines and even legal trouble.
2. It Harms the Film Industry
A movie is more than just its actors. It involves the hard work of hundreds of people, from directors and editors to stunt performers and technicians. Piracy impacts everyone. Box office collections determine a film’s success and fund future projects. Supporting piracy damages the industry and affects upcoming films.
3. Poor Viewing Experience
Pirated versions of movies are of low quality. Watching a shaky cam print with distorted sound and people walking in front of the screen is not enjoyable. Sikandar is a mass entertainer meant to be experienced in theatres.
4. Piracy Websites Are Dangerous
Those “free” download links often contain malware, viruses, and phishing scams. Many people who try to access pirated content end up with hacked devices or stolen bank details. Watching illegally isn’t just unethical but also risky.
Sikandar In Theatres
Despite the leak, fans are showing up in large numbers to watch Sikandar on the big screen. Social media is flooded with videos of fans celebrating Salman Khan’s latest release by dancing in theatres, cutting cakes, and cheering for ‘Bhaijaan.’
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, Sikandar features an exciting cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi. The film delivers high-octane action, gripping drama, and larger-than-life entertainment.
If you truly want to enjoy Sikandar, say NO to piracy and watch it LEGALLY in cinemas!
