Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur released yesterday in cinemas. Sam Bahadur is directed by Meghna Gulzar and written by Meghna and Bhavani Iyer. The film is based on India’s first field marshal Sam Manekshaw who played a key role during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war and the liberation of Bangladesh.
Film clashed with Animal and that limited its screening as well as audience. Still film managed to fight it out at box office and good jumps over the weekend ensured a decent weekend.
Vicky Kaushal And Fatima Sana Share Interesting Dynamic In Sam Bahadur
Sam Manekshaw, India’s first Field Marshal who had a storied military career spanning four decades. He led India in five wars and was at the forefront of some of the turning points in the history of the nation. From the time of India gaining independence in 1947 to the liberation of Bangladesh in 1971, Manekshaw’s role was remarkable.
What was more striking was Manekshaw and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s tenuous equation. Vicky Kaushal and Fatima Sana Sheikh depict strong political drama in second half with some really interesting dynamic. There are few dialogues between these two characters which have created stir.
