Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently revealed that she wanted to be replaced in the Citadel: Honey Bunny series due to her health struggles.
The actress, who stars alongside Varun Dhawan, has been dealing with myositis, an autoimmune disorder. Despite initially being excited about the project, Samantha soon realised that her condition was taking a toll on her.

In an interview with Galatta India, Samantha shared that she had reached out to the show’s makers Raj & DK, asking them to replace her with other actresses. She even suggested two top stars for the role, sending them pictures of Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon.
“I actually sent them Kiara’s pictures and Kriti’s pictures. I remember saying, ‘Oh my God, she is so hot. Just look at her. She will be amazing doing action,’” she recalled.
Despite Samantha’s concerns, Raj & DK assured her that they had no issues with her health. They even joked that they were already familiar with Kiara and Kriti, so Samantha didn’t need to introduce them.
Although her health was a challenge, Samantha still went ahead and completed her action-packed scenes in the series. Fans praised her performance and chemistry with co-star Varun Dhawan, which became a highlight of the show.
