Here’s What Adil Hussain Said About Kabir Singh
Hussain’s regret stems from his decision to join the cast of Kabir Singh without thoroughly reviewing the script or the original film, Arjun Reddy. In a recent podcast interview, the seasoned actor revealed his dismay upon watching the final product, expressing regret over his involvement in the project.
“I regret it till today. The only movie I have regretted doing is that film… Kabir Singh,” Hussain confessed. He criticized the film’s treatment of women and its overall impact on his self-perception. Despite attempting to dissuade the filmmakers by negotiating for more money, Hussain found himself in a role that left him feeling embarrassed and regretful.
Kabir Singh, directed by Vanga, made waves upon its release in 2019, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. The film courted controversy for its portrayal of toxic masculinity and received mixed reviews from audiences and critics alike.
