Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a renowned filmmaker, is currently occupied with the final phase of filming his upcoming series titled Heeramandi, which will mark his digital debut on the Netflix platform. He has set a target to complete the project by August before moving on to his next ambitious endeavor, Baiju Bawra. Speculations are circulating that Bhansali has enlisted the talents of his favored actor Ranveer Singh, with whom he has collaborated on three previous films, and Alia Bhatt, the lead in his successful film Gangubai Kathiawadi last year.
The Film City in Mumbai will undergo a transformation as Sanjay Leela Bhansali plans to redesign the set of Heeramandi for his upcoming project, Baiju Bawra. According to a report, a reliable source disclosed that an art team is prepared to commence the redesigning process around September. The aim is to reimagine the existing Heeramandi set to suit the requirements of Baiju Bawra.
The film is expected to commence its production either by the end of this year or in early 2024. Although the casting of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the film is yet to be officially confirmed by the makers, the director is confident that both actors are the perfect fit for their respective roles.
