Akshay Kumar shared the song’s release on Instagram, writing, “When life throws a challenge, just look it in the eye and #MaarUdi!! It’s time to be #Sarfira.” The post was met with excitement and praise from fans eagerly awaiting the film.
The song is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla. The vocals are provided by Yadu Krishnan, Sugandh Shekar, Haston Rodrigues, and Abhijith Rao, bringing a powerful and uplifting energy to the track.

Sarfira Trailer Was Released Recently
The Sarfira trailer, which Akshay also shared with his fans, sets the stage for an inspiring story. It begins with Akshay’s character burdened by debt, declaring his intention to repay his loans with any money he earns. He is passionate about his startup idea, a low-cost airline, which he believes will revolutionise air travel. However, his proposal is rejected by airline tycoon Paresh Rawal, who advises him to return to his village and take up farming.
Undeterred, Akshay’s character vows to break both cost and caste barriers to make flying accessible to everyone. The trailer showcases his unwavering determination to overcome all challenges and fulfil the dreams of ordinary people.
Director Sudha Kongara expressed her enthusiasm for the project, saying, “With Sarfira, we have aimed to craft a musical marvel that not only entertains but also leaves a lasting impact on the viewers’ hearts. The soundtrack is diverse and will connect with fans across segments.”
More About The Film
Kongara, known for her work on Irudhi Suttru, Saala Khadoos, and Soorarai Pottru—the latter of which Sarfira is based—has created a compelling narrative with this film. The screenplay is written by Sudha and Shalini Ushadevi, with dialogues by Pooja Tolani. The music, a crucial element of the film, is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar.
Sarfira is produced by Aruna Bhatia (Cape of Good Films), South superstars Suriya and Jyotika (2D Entertainment), and Vikram Malhotra. The film is set to hit theatres on July 12, 2024.
