Nora Fatehi And Sanjay Dutt’s Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke Pulled Down After CBFC Complaint Over Alleged Obscenity

A new song featuring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt has turned into the latest flashpoint in Bollywood’s ongoing debate around lyrical “double meaning” and what passes as mainstream entertainment online. The Hindi version of Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke, launched as a promotional track from the Kannada pan-India film KD: The Devil, was taken down from digital circulation by the makers after it triggered a loud social media backlash and a formal complaint to authorities.

The number, set in a dance bar styled set-up and fronted by Fatehi’s high-energy choreography, had been circulating widely on YouTube and social platforms, drawing both praise for the performance and criticism for its allegedly vulgar phrasing and suggestive visuals.

Latest Update: Hindi Version Removed After Complaint To CBFC

As of March 17, 2026, the Hindi version of Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke has been removed following a complaint filed before the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The complaint was submitted by Advocate Vineet Jindal, and it was also marked to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

In the complaint, the song’s lyrics and visuals were described as “highly vulgar, sexually suggestive, and obscene expressions,” with the petitioner arguing that its easy availability online makes it particularly harmful for minors. The complaint urged an immediate ban and sought removal of the track from all digital platforms.

The complaint also listed the key creatives associated with the track, including lyricist Raqeeb Alam, director Prem, composer Arjun Janya, and singer Mangli. It further cited potential legal concerns under Section 294 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and the Information Technology Act, 2000. A separate criminal complaint was also stated to have been filed with the Delhi Police Cyber Cell.

Notably, while the Hindi version was removed, the song’s other language versions in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam remained available online at the time of this development.
