As 2025 begins, Shah Rukh Khan’s absence from the release calendar is something that can’t be overlooked. After dominating the box office in 2023 with Pathaan and Jawan, SRK’s break has left the industry and fans wondering about the year ahead. His films have historically drawn massive crowds, and his absence creates a noticeable void.
So it made fans really happy when SRK shared post about his next shooting schedule.
Shah Rukh was attending press conference for IIFA 2025 and he shared the biggest update about his next film. SRK said, “”I am in the middle of going to start the shoot of my upcoming film (King).”

For the unversed, SRK will begin shooting for his next big actioner King in March 2025. Siddharth Anand is directing and co-producing this film set for 2026 release. Shah Rukh did Thumps Up advertisement before release of Pathaan which was very similar to a sequence from the film. This teaser also seems to set in the world of SRK’s next KING where he plays baddie.
SRK’s 2023 successes weren’t just about record-breaking numbers; they were cultural moments. Pathaan became the first Hindi film to cross Rs 1000 crore globally, while Jawan grossed Rs 1148.32 crore worldwide. His ability to build anticipation and deliver blockbusters consistently is unmatched.
