The note shared by the studio captured both pride and gratitude. “In 2006, we started with a dream: to prove that Indian cinema deserved world-class visual effects, built right here in Mumbai, by our own people. What began as a vision to bring uncompromising creativity and innovative technology to Indian cinema became something far greater than we ever imagined,” it read.
That emotion is inseparable from the studio’s earliest breakthroughs. What began with films like Don and Om Shanti Om soon evolved into a major in-house force in Indian filmmaking, with Red Chillies VFX growing across genres, technologies and creative demands. Over the years, the company has contributed to more than 100 films and expanded into a team of over 500 artists and technicians, reflecting just how far the Indian VFX space has come in 20 years.

Thank you to every audience member who sat in a dark theatre and lent their attention to our work,” the note said. It added, “You are the magic. You always were.”
