The much-awaited comedy-drama Dunk’s, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani, hit the theatres today and received a thunderous response from the fans. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film is based on the illegal immigration technique of “donkey flights” and follows the journey of four friends from Punjab who dream of going to England.
Shah Rukh fans celebrate Dunki release with fireworks, dhol, poster cutouts and dance inside theaters
As the film released, fans of Shah Rukh Khan celebrated the occasion with dhol, nagada, fireworks and posters outside the cinema halls. Some fans even performed skits and dances. Fans of Shah Rukh Khan posted videos of the enormous gathering that included fireworks and dhol-tasha to celebrate the release of Dunki. In some cities, he was welcomed with Colors. At many locations, large cutouts of Shah Rukh Khan was also spotted.
Shah Rukh Khan replies to fans celebrations on social media
The actor took to social media in his usual witty style to express his love for his fans. He wrote, “Arre ab picture dekhne toh jao ya bahar hi kushti karte rahoge. Go in see the movie and tell me if u all enjoyed it.”
The film has received positive reviews from the audience, who praised the performances, the humour, the emotions and the message of the film. The film is expected to have a bumper opening at the box office and end the year on a high note for the Hindi film industry. Dunki is a co-production of Jio Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment and Rajkumar Hirani Films. The film is distributed by Yash Raj Films internationally.
