A tabloid previously said that the film on which the two are working together is a Hindi remake of the 2011 French film Nuit Blanche. According to the story, the two will begin the production with an action sequence. Shahid is supposed to be portraying a cop who is hunting drug lords across the city in the film.
Nuit Blanche was previously remade in Tamil and Telugu with Kamal Haasan, with the titles Thoongaa Vanam and Cheekati Rajyam.
Shahid is now preparing for the debut of Jersey, which is set to hit theatres on December 31. The film was directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and was originally shot in Telugu. Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur both star in the Hindi version.
