It seems like Sooraj Barjatya has finally found the female lead for his upcoming family entertainer. Fresh reports reveal that Sharvari has been cast opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in the yet-to-be-titled film, which will be a heartfelt love story set against a family backdrop.
Sharvari To Star Opposite Ayushmann In Sooraj Barjatya’s Next
A source quoted in a Pinkvilla report said that the director was looking for an actress who could bring both innocence and emotional depth to the role. After multiple auditions, Sharvari was chosen as the perfect fit.
Over the years, Barjatya has worked with some of Bollywood’s popular actresses including Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor, and Bhagyashree. Now, Sharvari is expected to join this list.
If it happens, it will be exciting to see Ayushmann and Sharvari together on screen for the first time. Both actors are reportedly thrilled to collaborate with the legendary filmmaker, and their pairing is expected to bring a unique charm to the film.
The report also mentions that several actresses were considered for the role, but Barjatya was meticulous in his selection. Now that the lead pair is locked in, the director is moving forward with assembling a strong supporting cast.
Their Work Front
Ayushmann has a busy schedule ahead. He will soon be seen in an action-comedy alongside Sara Ali Khan, produced by Karan Johar and directed by Aakash Kaushik. The film is set to release later this year. He is also gearing up for Thama, a horror-comedy backed by Maddock Films, featuring Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film is set to hit cinemas on Diwali 2025.
Meanwhile, Sharvari is currently filming Alpha with Alia Bhatt. She has been undergoing intense training for her role, as the film continues its production schedule.
