Shinda Shinda No Papa continues to sway audiences in its second week, maintaining a robust performance at the box office. The Punjabi film, headlined by Gippy Grewal, has garnered Rs. 10.50 crore worldwide, marking a mere 40 per cent decline from its debut week.

Impressively, its stronghold in India is even more notable, with collections dipping by only 35 per cent. This latest feat propels the film’s cumulative earnings to Rs. 28.50 crore over a fortnight.

Shinda Shinnda No Papa At India Box Office

Breaking down the numbers, domestic earnings stand at Rs. 12.80 crore, with an additional Rs. 15.70 crore contributed by overseas markets. However, these figures exclude box office collections from Pakistan, which could potentially bolster the total to nearly Rs. 30 crore.

In India, the film’s performance trajectory unfolds as follows:

  • Week 1: Rs. 7.80 crore
  • 2nd Friday: Rs. 55 lakh
  • 2nd Saturday: Rs. 1.05 crore
  • 2nd Sunday: Rs. 1.40 crore
  • 2nd Monday: Rs. 50 lakh
  • 2nd Tuesday: Rs. 50 lakh
  • 2nd Wednesday: Rs. 50 lakh
  • 2nd Thursday: Rs. 50 lakh

     2 Week Total: Rs. 12.80 crore

Despite a lukewarm start, Shinda Shinda No Papa has demonstrated remarkable resilience, particularly evident in its weekday performances during the second week. Notably, the film’s second Thursday mirrored its second Friday, with only a 15 per cent week-over-week decline, signalling sustained viewer interest.

Adding to its favourable circumstances, the postponement of the release of Rose Rosy Te Gulab for this week has provided Shinda Shinda No Papa with another clear runway devoid of competition. As the third week unfolds, expectations are high for the film to maintain its momentum, potentially surpassing Jatt Nu Chudail Takkri as the year’s top-grossing Punjabi film.

About Shinda Shinda No Papa

Shinda Shinda No Papa is a 2024 Punjabi comedy film directed by Amarpreet G.S. Chhabra. The story follows Gopi, a frustrated father living in Canada, who decides to take his mischievous son, Shinda, to India to discipline him. However, Shinda learns of his father’s true plan, leading to a clash between them.

Gopi, raised in Punjab, experiences a cultural shock when he moves to England, where it is illegal to hit children. Feeling powerless, he plans to return to Punjab to teach Shinda a lesson but is surprised to find that children there also resist this traditional form of discipline.
