Shoojit Sircar’s film with Abhishek Bachchan
Sircar’s upcoming film, starring Abhishek Bachchan, produced by Rising Sun Films, has completed its shoot, primarily taking place in the USA. In a recent interview with The Quint, Sircar shared, “I intend to reach out to audiences all over the world through all my films. My next is also made with the same intent. It will take you into an ordinary man’s life and his extraordinary journey and make you smile with him.”
The latest film revolves around Arjun, a man settled in the USA in search of ‘The American Dream’, who gets a second chance to strengthen the bond with his daughter. Shoojit Sircar crafts an intrinsically emotional journey with an entertaining narrative through this story about a father and daughter as they navigate through life’s surprises. The film compels us to discover the true value of life’s fleeting moments, learning to cherish each one. This heartwarming tale is a ‘celebration of life’ in its everyday, ordinary chaos.
Speaking to Galatta Plus, Sircar said, “It is a slice-of-life film.” The director shared that the film has been inspired by the life of his friend and that a large portion of the movie has already been shot.
