Shraddha Kapoor fans are not holding back after a recent comment by Stree director Amar Kaushik triggered them, leading to a major backlash online. Many felt his words about Shraddha’s casting in Stree 2 were rude and uncalled for.
Amar spoke with Komal Nahta in a recent interview and shared how Shraddha joined the franchise.
Netizens Unhappy With The Comment On Shraddha Kapoor
He gave credit for her casting to producer Dinesh Vijan. He said, “Shraddha ki casting puri ki puri Dinesh Vijan ko jaati hai. Woh Shraddha ke saath kisi flight mein aa rahe the, aur flight mein unko mili thi.”
But what he said next upset many fans. Amar added, “Toh unhone bola, Amar, woh jab hasti hai na toh ekdum Stree ki tarah, ekdum chudail ki tarah hasti hai. Sorry Shraddha. Aisa kuch bola tha unhone… chudail bola tha ya kuch aur, I’m not sure. Toh main jab unhe mila toh sabse pehle maine unko bola – haso.”
Amar laughed off the comment and even apologised mid-sentence. But social media didn’t take it lightly. Shraddha’s fans called the remark insensitive and disrespectful.

Another posted, “Hey @AmarKaushik, seems like you’ve forgotten who made #Stree2 a hit! When you need hype, you’re all about @ShraddhaKapoor, but behind the scenes, you’re mocking her? Not cool. Show some respect to the talent that brings you success.”

Some users justified the comment and said they didn’t call her chudail in real, stating that her fans are unnecessarily taking things personally.
So far, Amar and Dinesh have not responded to the backlash. Shraddha also hasn’t said anything publicly.
