Shruti is seen holding a shovel and sporting a dishevelled hairstyle with a bindi, which hints at a role that’s both intriguing and dynamic. This will be the first time Shruti Haasan will work with Rajinikanth.
About Coolie
Coolie is helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, a filmmaker who previously collaborated with Haasan on the song “Inimel” during his acting debut. Kanagaraj is known for his innovative storytelling, and this project promises to showcase his unique vision.
The film also features actors Nagarjuna and Soubin Shahir. Shahir, who made waves in this year’s hit film Manjummel Boys, is making his Tamil debut with Coolie.
The film will be Rajinikanth’s 171st project as a lead actor. This marks his first collaboration with Kanagaraj, which has generated significant buzz among fans.
Coolie is backed by Sun Pictures, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the music and Girish Gangadharan handling the cinematography. The film will also see National Award-winning stunt coordinator Anbariv bringing their expertise to the action sequences.
Despite the excitement, a release date for Coolie has not yet been announced. It’s confirmed that the film will stand alone and is not part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, which includes hits like Kaithi, Vikram, and Leo.
