Sidharth Malhotra, who is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming action film Yodha, might soon collaborate with director Siddharth Anand for another high-octane thriller. The actor was recently spotted at Anand’s office, sparking rumours of a new film in the works.

According to sources, Malhotra and Anand discussed a potential script that would feature the actor in a never-seen-before avatar. The film is said to be a part of Anand’s newly launched production house Marflix Pictures, which aims to create a franchise of action films. The film will be directed by Rohan Khambati, who has previously worked as an action designer on Anand’s Pathaan and Jawan.
“Sidharth Malhotra wants to do more films in the action space and who better than Siddharth Anand to bring the genre to the big screen. Their conversations are moving in the right direction, however, things have yet to find a place on paper. It’s a film which will be produced by Marflix and the motto of the banner is to make some of the biggest action thrillers in India,” revealed a source close to the development.

“Having worked with Sid before, Rohan has got the perfect producer in Marflix to support his vision,” the source added. The yet untitled actioner will mark the directorial debut of Rohan Khambati, who has worked as the action designer on tentpole films like Jawan and Pathaan.
The film is currently in the early stages of discussion with everyone trying to align their vision. “If everything goes as planned, the yet untitled action thriller will take off by the end of next year,” the source concluded.

Pathaan, which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, was one of the biggest hits of the year, breaking several box office records. Jawan, which is slated to release next year, features Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. Anand is also working on Fighter, which will mark the debut of Vijay Deverakonda in Hindi cinema.
Malhotra, on the other hand, was last seen in Mission Majnu and Shershaah. Malhotra will be next seen in Yodha, which is directed by Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre, and produced by Karan Johar. The film also stars Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna, and is scheduled to release on March 15, 2024.
Siddharth Anand is gearing up for release of his directorial Fighter starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. The makers recently launched the teaser, which has got the fans excited.

Neither Malhotra nor Anand have officially confirmed their collaboration.
