Sidharth Malhotra is on a roll these days, just after finishing up Captain Vikram Batra biopic titled Shershaah the actor signed another film. According to the information, the film is a remake of Tamil murder mystery Thadam.
This will be Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani’s fourth film together. Sidharth Malhotra’s next is an action thriller that has been inspired by true events.
Helmed by debutant director Vardhan Ketkar Sidharth is doing a double role in the yet to be titled film. As per the information the actor will be seen in two entirely different avatars. The film is expected to on the floor this May. The crew has already started prepping up for it.
A daily quoted Bhushan Kumar as saying, “Working with Murad bhai is fun, and very smooth. We both share the same love and passion for films and hence our collaborations have always been successful. When Murad bhai mentioned about Thadam and post-reading the Hindi script, it was an instant yes from my side. It was a unanimous choice to get Sidharth on board as a lead and he will surprise the audiences in this film. Vardhan has worked with one of the best directors in the industry and he is apt to lead this project.”
The original film which was released last year was written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni while it was produced by Inder Kumar.
The film stars Arun Vijay in a double role along with Tanya Hope, Smruthi Venkat, and Vidya Pradeep in the lead roles. The story revolves around the murder of a young man, the story takes twists and turns when investigators found that the accused has a look-alike.
The new version of the film will release on November 20, 2020.
