Sidharth Malhotra’s Shershaah to skip theatres, opts for direct-OTT release?

Shershaah is a biography of Param Vir Chakra awardee and army captain Vikram Batra, who laid down his life in the 1999 Kargil War

Shabbir Boxwala, who is co-producing Shershaah, the military drama starring Sidharth Malhotra, was recently interviewed by a Hindi news website. Shershaah would be released on OTT, according to the headline. According to Shabbir, they have no choice but to release Shershaah on a digital platform given the current situation.

When this writer contacted Shabbir Boxwala, the producer indicated that Shershaah would not be released on OTT. Shabbir revealed, “No decision has been made in this regard and I have clearly said that in the interview as well. The film is not even ready. Once it’s complete, Dharma Productions will take a decision on its release.”
