Sikandar makers voluntarily cut 14 minutes and 28 seconds of footage post-censor approval. Check out all the major changes done.

Salman Khan’s Sikandar has undergone last-minute changes just days before its release. The makers voluntarily removed 14 minutes and 28 seconds of footage, even after securing a UA 13+ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The final runtime now stands at 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 47 seconds, which is a significant drop from its original 2 hours, 30 minutes, and 8 seconds.

Sikandar Makers Voluntarily Cut 14.28 Mins Footage From The Film

Sources reveal that the production team approached the CBFC after receiving the certification. They informed the board about the voluntary cuts, as required by CBFC rules. The board reviewed the changes and gave its approval on March 24.

The cuts affected 26 scenes, including four major ones that lasted over a minute each. One of the deleted scenes was 2 minutes and 26 seconds long and featured the dialogue, “Chaar miss call…chalo Rajkot.”

Another scene, lasting 1 minute and 12 seconds, included the line, “Usse leke aata hoon.” The longest deleted sequence, running for 4 minutes, had the dialogue, “Aa gaye aa gaye…bad husband.” The makers also trimmed a scene with the dialogue, “Offer aukat ke bahar tha.”

Several shorter scenes were also cut. A 56-second sequence with the line, “Aate rahenge ab toh,” was removed. The Holi celebration scene lost 40 seconds. These edits were made to refine the film’s pacing. However, the team added 7 seconds of Salman Khan’s reaction shots to the final cut.

How Will This Affect The Salman Khan Starrer?

Fans are eagerly waiting for Sikandar, and these last-minute changes have sparked curiosity. Some believe the edits will make the film sharper, while others wonder why certain scenes were removed.

Despite the alterations, expectations remain high for this Salman Khan starrer, which is set to release on March 30.
