Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will finally hit theatres tomorrow. Both films are generating impressive advance bookings, with each vying for the top spot at national multiplex chains.
Data collected by 5:00 PM shows that Singham Again has sold around 160,000 tickets, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has edged ahead with about 165,000 tickets sold in major chains like PVR Inox and Cinepolis.
However, these figures are inflated due to significant self-buying from one of the films.
This tactic is a response to the competitive nature of social media marketing, where perceptions can shift quickly. Many in the industry are viewing these advance numbers with cautious optimism.
Both The Films To Have Pre-Sales Of Around 2.25 L To 2.50 L Tickets
The total pre-sales for both films are predicted to fall between 225,000 and 250,000 tickets. If these numbers hold true, the opening day box office collections could range from Rs 25 crore to Rs 35 crore.
For comparison, last year’s Tiger 3 sold over 300,000 tickets for its Diwali release and opened with slightly above Rs 40 crore.
The MovieMax chain also reports encouraging figures. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has sold around 9,600 tickets, while Singham Again has moved approximately 4,200. Just like the larger chains, these numbers should also be viewed cautiously. The real test will come from walk-in audiences, who will ultimately determine how each film performs on their first day.
Despite the uncertainty, both films show promising organic interest. If they deliver quality content, there’s potential for both to emerge as box office successes over the Diwali weekend. In terms of advance bookings for 2024, Stree 2 currently holds the record with 392,000 tickets sold. Following closely, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is expected to hit around 250,000 tickets, while Singham Again is projected at about 225,000. Other notable films like Mr and Mrs Mahi and Fighter also feature in the top rankings.
