Aamir Khan is finally making his big-screen comeback after Laal Singh Chaddha (2022). His next film, Sitaare Zameen Par, is expected to hit theatres by the end of May 2025. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan fame RS Prasanna directs the film. Ever since the announcement, fans have been buzzing with excitement.
This film brings a fresh twist. It’s seen as a spiritual successor to Taare Zameen Par (2007). But this time, the story doesn’t follow children. It focuses on adult men with intellectual disabilities. These men discover their self-worth through sports and friendship.
Aamir Khan And Genelia Deshmukh Shoot A Special Song For Sitaare Zameen Par
The makers are keeping the storyline and character details super hush-hush. But a new update from Mid-Day has stirred up some hype. Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh recently shot a special song in Marol, Mumbai.
The shoot reportedly lasted for five days. RS Prasanna directed the segment, while Vijay Ganguly handled the choreography. A source from the set shared, “It’s a feel-good track. It’s unclear whether it will be part of the narrative. Most likely, it will be a special number attached to the credits, playing out like a montage that ties together the movie’s central themes.”
The song seems to carry a warm, emotional vibe. It’s not your typical dance routine. Instead, it may wrap up the story with a powerful message, just like in Taare Zameen Par.
Aamir To Kick Off Promotional Campaign Soon
Post-production is almost complete. The team is now preparing to start promotions. Darsheel Safary, who played Ishaan in the original film, also joins the cast of this new story. Fans are eager to see his reunion with Aamir on screen.
Aamir wants to kick off promotions in early May. A source close to the project said, “The film’s subject is very close to Aamir. He is keen to build early awareness around the movie and position it thoughtfully.”
Apart from this project as an actor, Aamir is also producing Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore 1947, which stars Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. He is considering a Late 2025 release for this film.
