Bollywood’s ‘Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar is gearing up to bring another action-packed blockbuster to the big screen with Sky Force, set to release over the Republic Day weekend in 2025. Fans of the actor can expect the film to hit cinemas on January 24, 2025, with the trailer expected to arrive around or after Christmas 2024.
Maddock Films Plans Republic Day Release For Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force
After delivering back-to-back hits with Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Munjya, and Stree 2, Dinesh Vijan is now focusing on his two upcoming films, Chhaava and Sky Force.
While Chhaava will be out on December 6, 2024, insiders have confirmed that Sky Force, starring Akshay Kumar, and Nimrat Kaur, is locked in for a Republic Day release. The timing is no coincidence, as the film’s patriotic theme fits perfectly with the national holiday.
Sources close to the project have shared that Sky Force is packed with action, drama, emotions, and thrills, with a heavy dose of patriotism. The film is set against the backdrop of India’s first-ever air strike on Pakistan, making it a high-stakes war drama.
A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, “Dinesh Vijan, Amar Kaushik and team feel that Sky Force is the perfect film for the Republic Day period. It’s high on action, drama, emotions, and thrills and on top of it – has a lot of patriotism as well. It’s set against the backdrop of India’s first-ever air strike on Pakistan, and the film has shaped up very well.”
Akshay & Veer Pahariya’s On-Screen Chemistry Promises To Be A Major Highlight
The buzz around Sky Force is already strong, with insiders praising the film’s visuals and special effects. The VFX has been handled by DNEG, a company known for its National and Oscar Award-winning work, and it seems they’ve outdone themselves with this film.
“The VFX of Sky Force is done by National & Oscar Award winning company – DNEG – and the final out has turned out to be very good. The film has breathtaking aerial visuals and encapsulates the emotions of India’s first surgical strike to perfection. The dynamic of Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya is said to be a highlight and audiences are on for a treat to see the way the Khiladi is presented on screen,” the source added.
Fans are in for a treat as this will be Akshay Kumar’s first film in six months, making the anticipation even higher. The team behind the film, including directors Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur, have been working hard to ensure that Sky Force hits all the right notes. The film promises to deliver an intense, action-packed cinematic experience, and the inside reports suggest that the final cut is simply fantastic.
Sky Force Trailer Arrives THIS Christmas
Maddock Films, the production house behind Sky Force, is planning an exciting lead-up to the release. The theatrical trailer is set to drop around Christmas 2024, kicking off a month-long campaign leading up to the film’s release. “It’s going to be a month-long campaign and the trailer will set the vibe for the arrival of Sky Force with all the might and force” the source said.
