This new track features Lata Mangeshkar’s famous anthem, “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon,” which is sure to tug at the heartstrings. Akshay Kumar shared the song on social media, calling it “A heartfelt ode to all the sacrifices of our heroes! #AeMereWatanKeLogon OUT NOW.”

In the video, Akshay is also seen crying as he grieves the loss of soldiers, adding deep emotion to the song.

The original “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon” (reused in the film) was written by Kavi Pradeep and composed by C Ramchandra and was first performed in 1963. It was a tribute to the soldiers who gave their lives in the Sino-Indian War of 1962. Lata Mangeshkar’s moving voice made the song unforgettable, turning it into a symbol of national pride.

The song stands out because it honours not only national pride but also the sacrifices made by the country’s soldiers. It fills listeners with deep respect and gratitude. The song was famously performed at the National Stadium in New Delhi, where even Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was brought to tears. The powerful lyrics and Mangeshkar’s heartfelt performance have made this one of the most cherished ‘patriotic’ songs in India.
