Vedang Raina & Ananya Panday In Imtiaz Ali’s Upcoming Romantic Film?
The news is causing a stir, especially because of Ali’s reputation for creating unforgettable love stories.
A source has shared with Filmfare that Vedang and Ananya have both auditioned or undergone look tests for Imtiaz Ali’s film. While they haven’t been finalised yet, it’s a major project, and other stars are also being considered. Big names from Bollywood have been approached for the film.
“Both Vedang and Ananya have done auditions or looks tests for Imtiaz’s film. They are not finalised yet. This is a big project and we believe there are other stars being considered as well. Some big names from Bollywood have been approached for this film,” said the source.
While there are no official confirmations yet, insiders are confident that Vedang and Ananya will eventually land the roles, as the project is still in the early stages of planning. If the duo is cast together, it would mark an exciting new phase in both of their careers.
Imtiaz Ali is known for his successful collaborations with young actors, including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Shahid Kapoor. His films, like Jab We Met, Rockstar, and Tamasha, have explored deep emotions and complex relationships, and fans are eagerly anticipating how Vedang and Ananya might fit into this vision.
Vedang & Ananya’s Career Front
Vedang Raina, who made his acting debut with Netflix’s The Archies, has yet to find his breakthrough role. His Bollywood debut, Jigra, starring alongside Alia Bhatt, failed to make an impact at the box office due to negative reviews and a lack of audience engagement.
Despite the setback, Vedang’s potential is still being recognised, and this new opportunity could offer him the chance to make a lasting impression.
On the other hand, Ananya Panday has shown growth in her acting skills, though her presence in the industry has yet to fully solidify. Her recent work includes the popular series Call Me Bae, which has already been confirmed for a second season. She also has a few promising projects lined up, including a biographical film on C Sankaran with Akshay Kumar and a romantic film opposite Lakshya.
