Sonakshi Sinha starrer Jatadhara faces legal trouble as Content Films sues Prerna Arora’s Ess Kay Gee Entertainment for breaching their 50% rights agreement.

Sonakshi Sinha starrer Jatadhara has landed in legal trouble. Content Films Productions Pvt Ltd has accused producer-director Prerna Arora’s Ess Kay Gee Entertainment of violating their agreement over the film’s rights.

Prerna Arora was previously in the news for financial mismanagement allegations. She made a comeback with new projects, but new legal issues have returned.

Legal Dispute Over Sonakshi Sinha Starrer Jatadhara

Bollywood Hungama reported that according to a notice in Complete Cinema magazine on March 8 and 15, Content Films has decided to take legal action against Arora and her partner for breaking their contract.

The notice states that Content Films Productions Pvt Ltd, which is part of Rajtaru Studios Limited, signed an MOU with Prerna Arora and Shivin Narang’s Ess Kay Gee Entertainment on December 23, 2024. Under this agreement, Content Films secured 50% rights over Jatadhara, including Intellectual Property Rights. However, the notice claims that Ess Kay Gee Entertainment violated the contract’s terms, leading to a legal battle.

It also warns actors, directors, distributors, exhibitors, OTT platforms, and agencies not to work with Ess Kay Gee Entertainment regarding Jatadhara without approval from Content Films. Anyone who collaborates with them without consent may face legal consequences.

In January 2025, Zee Studios announced its association with the film. At the time, Prerna Arora called Jatadhara a unique supernatural horror inspired by a South Indian folktale. She compared its theme to Munjya, which was based on Maharashtrian folklore, and promised audiences a fresh cinematic experience.

Despite the legal troubles, Prerna Arora is backing other projects. She is producing Hero Heeroine, starring Divya Khossla, Esha Deol, and Paresh Rawal. She is also working on Dank, featuring Shivin Narang, Nidhhi Agerwal, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, and Tusshar Kapoor.
