Sooryavanshi, directed by Rohit Shetty, was released on November 5th, a day after Diwali. A revised version of the iconic Mohra song “Tip Tip Barsa Pani” was included in the Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif action-drama, in addition to some action-packed drama. On Saturday, the sizzling music video was unveiled. The original film, Mohra, from the 1990s, starred Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon.

However, nothing can change the reality that it’s all shaped by recycling a famous song rather than writing a new one.

Raveena Tandon recently liked two tweets praising her cover of the song. “Original Tip Tip Barsa Pani is something else, that too in early 90s,” said one tweet, while another displayed her range in a series of photos from the same era. Meanwhile, Tandon is satisfied with the new rendition, according to choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan.
