On his Instagram, Karan posted a series of pictures from the film’s set, including a happy snap with Kajol, who had a cameo. The director also featured designer Manish Malhotra and other crew members in his tribute.
Reflecting on the film’s impact, he reminisced in an old video, calling Student of the Year a “celebration” of everything he loves about cinema.
He highlighted its youthful energy, music, and comic timing, stating, “The youth, the zest, the zing, the music, the energy, the comic timing—everything that I have always loved about Hindi cinema is a part of Student of the Year.”

Varun Dhawan Enjoys ‘Ishq Wala Love’ On His Film’s 12th Anniversary
Varun Dhawan also celebrated with a heartfelt video. In it, he jammed to the iconic song “Ishq Wala Love,” a favourite from the film. His joy was infectious, reminding fans of the magic the film brought to their screens.
