SS Rajamouli’s RRR will NOT be postponed, makers stick to theatrical release on 7th Jan!

SS Rajamouli confirmed that the film will not be postponed and will be released in theaters as decided.

After a lengthy wait, SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated film RRR has been given a release date, and it will be released on January 7, 2022. However, because of an increase of Omicron cases in India, rumours were circulating that the Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer film’s release may be delayed. According to a source, the distributors of RRR’s Hindi version have supposedly urged the filmmakers to reschedule the release date because Maharasthra theatres are only half full.

With the rising Covid and Omicron cases in the country, certain states have already started to shut down places of public gatherings such as theatres, spas, gyms, etc. But the good news is that SS Rajamouli confirmed it to the trade analyst Taran Adarsh that the film will not be postponed and will be released in theaters as decided earlier, i e., on January 7, 2022.

RRR will be released on a variety of screens around the world. In this film, Jr NTR and Ram Charan portray Telugu historical figures Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju. Olivia Morris, a British actor and model, and Alia Bhatt will also be seen in pivotal roles. The film is said to have cost Rs 400 crores to produce.
