Stree 2 just dropped a massive surprise with its post-credits scene, setting up Akshay Kumar as a potential new supervillain in Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Supernatural Universe. Fans were already buzzing about Akshay’s brief role in the film, but the ending revealed something much more thrilling.

In Stree 2, Akshay appears as a psychiatric patient in a hospital in Bhopal. His character initially seems like a minor player, providing crucial information about the film’s main villain, Sarkata. He tells Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi that he has deep ties to the villain’s lineage. This explanation sets up his character as a crucial link in understanding Sarkata’s threat.
But the post-credits scene takes things to a whole new level. The film hints that Akshay’s character might actually be a major new supervillain in the Maddock Universe.
In a dramatic twist, the remains of Sarkata are shown arriving at Akshay’s doorstep. When he opens the package, the remains mysteriously merge with him, suggesting that he may have been Sarkata all along. This setup teases his return in a future Maddock film, though it’s unclear which movie he’ll appear in or what his role will be.
Akshay Kumar’s appearance in Stree 2 is his latest venture into the horror-comedy genre. He was a significant part of the 2007 hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa, but couldn’t reprise his role in the 2022 sequel, which starred Kartik Aaryan.
Akshay Kumar’s Return To Comedy With Khel Khel Mein
Akshay has made a comeback in comedy with Khel Khel Mein, which is also clashing with Stree 2. This film features an impressive cast, including Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal, and is a remake of the Italian film Perfetti Sconosciuti (Perfect Strangers).
Akshay’s return to comedy is highly anticipated, and he has more projects in the pipeline, including Welcome to the Jungle and Jolly LLB 3, both promising a good dose of humour.
