The much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 hit Stree, titled Stree 2, is on the way, promising another round of horror-comedy entertainment. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios, the film features Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles.
Stree 2 has been the talk of the town in the world of horror-comedy, eagerly awaited by fans and industry insiders alike. Set to hit screens in August this year, the film’s makers are all set to unleash the teaser, having recently completed the censorship formalities.
Stree 2 Teaser Receives U/A Certificate – Check Runtime!
On June 7, the teaser of Stree 2 underwent the scrutiny of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and secured a U/A certificate. Clocking in at 1 minute and 23 seconds, the teaser has been approved for release. Although the exact date of its launch is yet to be announced, reports suggest that it is expected to make its way to the audience next week.
Stree, the predecessor of Stree 2, marked the inception of the Maddock Supernatural Universe, paving the way for subsequent films like Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya. With a worldwide collection exceeding Rs180 crores, Stree holds the title of the highest-grossing film in Maddock’s horror-comedy universe.
