Sunny Deol is set to return with a bang in Jaat, directed by Telugu filmmaker Gopichand Malineni. Promising to be the actor’s biggest action-packed drama yet, the film boasts an incredible team of four action directors and a line-up of five formidable villains.
Jaat Makers Roped In 4 Action Directors For The Film
Malineni is known for his action-heavy narratives & has left no stone unturned to ensure Jaat is nothing short of a spectacle. The film features action sequences choreographed by stunt directors Anal Arasu, Ram-Lakshman, Naga Venkat, and Peter Hein, who is famed for his work in Kalki 2898 AD.
A source close to the production revealed to mid-day, “Peter Hein designed a high-octane car chase sequence, which was shot on elaborate sets created by Avinash Kolla. Naga Venkat choreographed a hand-to-hand combat scene inside a police station, where Sunny used a giant fan as a weapon. This was filmed in Hyderabad last year.”
The adrenaline-fueled drama doesn’t stop there. Ram-Lakshman took charge of an intense fight sequence aboard a ship, shot at Panambur Port in Mangalore. Additionally, an ambitious action scene set in the Agumbe forests of Mangalore was wrapped up in November. The insider added, “The forest sequence will undoubtedly be one of the film’s major highlights.”
Sunny Deol To Have A Showdown With 5 Villains
The film also stars Saiyami Kher and Regina Cassandra & the shoot is nearly complete. Deol is expected to begin the final schedule in Mangalore next week, with just a few days of shooting remaining. “The major action blocks have been completed. This last leg will wrap up production,” the source confirmed.
The plot revolves around Deol’s character, a one-man army rising against corruption. To amplify the drama, Malineni has roped in six actors as antagonists, including Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Ajay Ghosh, Dayanand Shetty, Jagapathi Babu, and Babloo Prithiveeraj. With such a formidable cast of villains, Jaat promises high-intensity clashes.
The director is reportedly aiming to surpass the success of Gadar 2: The Katha Continues. “Malineni wants to make Jaat bigger in scale, stunts, and drama,” said the source.
Jaat will be released in five languages: Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil.
