Sunny Deol’s Role In Border 2 Set In 1971, Two New Actors To Join The Cast
Celebrating 27 years since the release of JP Dutta’s epic war film Border, the makers announced a sequel titled Border 2, set for release on Republic Day 2026. Directed by Anurag Singh, the movie stars Sunny Deol and Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead roles.
According to Pinkvilla’s report, Border 2 is set in 1971, with Sunny Deol reprising his role as Major Kuldeep Singh Chandrapuri. The film picks up from where the first one left off, focusing on the Longewala Battle.
Ayushmann Khurrana is already associated with the sequel. Two new actors, including one from the Punjabi film industry, are expected to join the cast. The shooting is scheduled to begin in October, promising some of the most monumental war scenes ever seen in Indian cinema.

Following the success of Munjya, producer Dinesh Vijan has re-announced Stree 2 for an Independence Day 2024 release. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is set to expand the horror-comedy universe.
The film promises a grand-scale experience, blending comedy and horror seamlessly. The teaser has already teased a surprise appearance by Tamannaah Bhatia, hinting at other guest appearances. The movie stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles.
