Akshay Oberoi is currently busy with multiple projects and has much to look forward to. The actor is preparing for the release of Kisko Tha Pata, a film co-starring Adil Khan and Ashnoor Kaur, on Zee Cinema. Along with this, Akshay also shared an update on another exciting project, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari in the latest interview.
Akshay Oberoi On Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari
During the interview, Akshay was asked about the status of the much-awaited sequel, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. The film is directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions.
He told OTTPlay, “We are almost done and we are at the end of the shoot. Whatever you expect from a Dharma film, it has all. We really loved making this movie. It was a very fun movie to make. The cast got along really well. Shashank Khaitan is such a lovely guy and the film is also very light-hearted.”
The film, which brings together a talented ensemble cast, has raised fans’ expectations. The sequel follows the success of Badrinath Ki Dulhania featuring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.
This time, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari features Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in leading roles.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is expected to be a pure family entertainer with a romantic backdrop, much in line with the films Shashank Khaitan has made over the years. This has created significant excitement among fans who are eagerly awaiting the film’s release.
Apart from Varun, Janhvi and Akshay, other prominent names in the cast include Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, and Maniesh Paul. The movie is slated for release on April 18, 2025.
Akshay Oberoi’s Other Upcoming Projects
Apart from Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Akshay Oberoi is also working on other exciting projects. He has signed up for Yash’s Toxic, his debut in the South film industry.
Akshay expressed his excitement about working on the film and said, “South is making some great cinema today and Yash is one of the most exciting action heroes of our time, and the film is an incredibly huge project. I am so grateful to have been cast in it.”
Additionally, Akshay is also part of Two Zero One Four, co-starring Jackie Shroff, and a new psychological thriller that will begin filming soon.
For the unversed, Akshay’s film Kisko Tha Pata is all set to premiere on Zee Cinema on December 25. The film will also be available for streaming on ZEE5.
