As one of the few actresses with a successful film franchise under her belt, Taapsee has left her fans eagerly waiting for more. Her role as Rani in Hasseen Dillruba set a high standard, and now, there is growing excitement about possible future sequels to the film.

Taapsee On Possibilities Of Sequel To Her 2019 Thriller Badla

In a recent interview, Taapsee spoke about the possibility of revisiting some of her past roles. One film that stood out was Badla (2019), a gripping thriller directed by Sujoy Ghosh

When asked about sequels to her films, Taapsee shared her thoughts on a potential Badla sequel, saying, “Haan, meri kuch picture hain jiska part 2 ban sakta hai. Main kaafi time Sujoy se hi poochti rehti hoon yeh baat.” (Yes, there are a few films of mine that could have a part two. I’ve been asking Sujoy about it for quite some time.)

The film’s suspenseful ending left fans wondering if there would be a follow-up, and Taapsee acknowledged this. She said, “Badla ka log kaafi part 2 expect karte hain, kyunki jis tareeke se ant hua tha, uss picture ka part 2 expected lagta hai logo ko. Sujoy aur main kaafi baat bhi karte hain, ab dekhte hain unke dimaag mein kabhi idea aata hai.” (People expect a part two of Badla because of the way it ended. It feels like a natural progression for the story. Sujoy and I talk about it a lot, so let’s see if an idea ever comes to him.)

Actress Confirms Next Hasseen Dillruba Film

Taapsee also teased the future of another popular film, Hasseen Dillruba. “The next part of Hasseen Dillruba is definitely expected. It’s going to happen,” she confidently stated.

Taapsee Pannu: Work Front

On the work front, Taapsee was last seen in Khel Khel Men and Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba. She is now preparing for her next film, Gandhari, directed by Devashish Makhija and written and produced by Kanika Dhillon. 

Taapsee shared that the film explores deep emotional themes, and it will push her in new ways. “With Gandhari, we are delving into new emotional territories, and I am excited to explore this intense character. I did action 9 years ago, and I’ve been waiting for a script that would bring me back to it and push me further,” she said.
