Sushmita Sen Acts With Her Eyes As Gauri Sawant In Taali Motion Poster

Sushmita Sen is someone who knows how to act with her eyes. The former Miss Universe has been enjoying her second inning in acting with the successful Hotstar show Aarya where she plays the titular character. Sushmita will be now seen in an upcoming series titled Taali in which she plays the role of transgender activist Gauri Sawant.

Recently, the makers of the series released a motion poster. The teaser shows Sushmita in a breathtaking and never before seen avatar, donning a big red bindi and red lipstick. The caption stated, “Laakh gira de bijli mujhpe, mai toh satrang banu. #HappyPride.”

The motion poster is really innovative as it ticks the third gender box through her red bindi. Her powerful big eyes say a lot without saying another. Then her character says, “Main taali bajati nahi bajwati hoon.” Taali is directed by Ravi Jadhav and created by Arjun Baran and Kartik Nishandar. It will be premiering on Jio Cinema real soon. This will be the first time in Bollywood’s history where such a popular star is portraying the role of a transgender in a series.
