T Series Issues Legal Notice Regarding Akshay Kumar And Suniel Shetty Starrer Hera Pheri Sequel Claiming All Audio And Video Song Rights In Trade Magazine

Hera Pheri and its sequel starred Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, which released in 2000 and 2006, respectively. Part one was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 7.5 cr and earned Rs 17.8 cr, whereas Phir Hera Pheri’s budget stood at Rs 18 cr and collected Rs 69.12 cr at the Box-office. First film was cult and second was decent hit too.

Film is making news for sometime now. First it was rumoured that Kartik Aaryan will replace Akshay and star in sequel of this film. Then came news is that Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal are back and they shot for promo one day. Film will be titled ‘Hera Pheri 4’ and will be based on original story of Late Neeraj Vora. On the other hand, fans are doing petition online regarding removal of director Farhad Samji from the film.

Now here comes the latest development. In number one trade magazine ‘Complete Cinema’, Bhushan Kumar’s T Series has issued a public notice claiming all audio and visual rights of songs of ‘Hera Pheri’. Notice states that any franchise film also will be covered under that.

This simply indicates that Feroz Nadiadwala havn’t informed T Series or asked any NOC regarding the next part of franchise in terms of music or using any audio from the original film. Generally all sequels do carry some sort of importation from audio of original.

Let’s see where this film goes and how many more hurdles to cross. Full fledge shoot is rumoured to start from October,2023.
