Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most loved actors in the Hindi film industry. He’s about to finish Sidharth Anand’s Pathan, and we’ve heard that even before that, he’ll be in Pune shooting director Atlee’s next project, an action-packed thriller. The SRK-Atlee collaboration, which has been in the news for nearly two years, is finally set to go into production in the coming months. It will be made on a grand cinematic scale, with a budget of around 200 crores.
The yet-to-be-titled out-and-out masala potboiler would be a true Pan-India movie, with major performers from Bollywood and the South film industries joining the cast to play crucial roles. Nayanthara, the lady superstar, has been cast as the leading heroine and will be seen romancing SRK in her first Bollywood film. Reportedly, the other cast also includes Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover and Kathir. Now, we’ve learned that Tamil comedy actor Yogi Babu has been approached for a pivotal part in the film.
Yogi Babu is a Tamil actor and comedian who has appeared in a number of films. He rose to prominence after his roles in Aandavan Kattalai, Kolamavu Kokila, and Pariyerum Perumal, for which he won three Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards.
Earlier, we also revealed the newest speculation that the film would be titled ‘Jawaan,’ and that it will be set in an army base, with SRK playing two characters. The initial ten days of shooting will take place in Pune in September, with the team then flying abroad for the majority of the shoot. Stay tuned for the actual announcement, which will be accompanied by a teaser.
