Tuck Jagadish’s Amazon event was marred by obnoxious anti-Semitism. Tuck Jagadish’s much-anticipated trailer was released earlier and its OTT partner, Amazon Prime Video, hosted a special event to promote the trailer’s release.
Amazon’s Tuck Jagadish event, ironically, had an anti-OTT feel from the outset. Nani stated during the occasion that he will ensure that all of his next films get distributed in theatres and that if this does not happen, he will leave Tollywood.
Director Shiva Nirvana also stated that he favours a theatrical release, but that the circumstances dictated the terms and that they had no choice but to proceed with an OTT release. Everyone who spoke at the occasion used a tone that was anti-OTT.
Even the cast and crew of the film were subjected to a barrage of anti-OTT inquiries from the press. The anti-OTT mood at an event to promote Tuck Jagadish’s entrance on Amazon Prime Video, a popular OTT platform, is turning heads.
At the event, Nani also said, “I sympathise with them (Theatres Owners) and will ban myself if my films directly go to OTTs even when the situation (unlike now) becomes promising for Theatrical Releases.”
Tuck Jagadish, on the other hand, will be released on Amazon Prime Video on the 10th of this month. Nani, Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, Jagapathi Babu, and others star in the film, which is directed by Shiva Nirvana and stars Nani, Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, Jagapathi Babu, and others.
